Habitat: new systems. Applications, services, internal tools, and the features that grow out of them — designed and built from first decision through launch.

Diet: systems with history. The codebase that has become difficult to change, the platform that needs to move, or the old system that needs to speak to the new one. I improve, integrate, and migrate them carefully, while keeping disruption to a minimum.

Range: wide. Languages, frameworks, and databases are tools, not allegiances. I work from the interface down through servers, CI/CD, DNS, and email — set up properly, with the important decisions documented, so your team can operate it confidently after the engagement ends.
